This lesson looks at the story of an incident in Florida where a man shot down a drone. Students will listen to the story and read an article about how drones can be used to help in a variety of situations. Exercises focus on reading and listening comprehension, related vocabulary and offer discussion on the topic. There is an optional crossword exercise at the end of the lesson.

The topic of this lesson is confidence. Students will learn vocabulary related to the video, which gives three tips to boost confidence. The grammar point is on sentences with ‘’if only’’. There is an opportunity for discussion on the topic and an optional writing activity. Finally, there is an extension or homework task for students to choose something new to learn on their own.

In this lesson, students develop their conversational skills by practising introductions, countries, and nationalities. First, the students listen to two people meeting for the first time and develop their listening skills before focusing on the phrases and using them in a variety of communicative tasks. The students then identify different countries from a short video and then focus on different word stress patterns before completing a series of interactive activities to practise the language. The students then identify nationalities and take part in a group speaking task. There is a final game to review the vocabulary.

In this lesson, TOEIC test takers and regular students can discover vocabulary associated with using the telephone. Students will also learn the tense past continuous. Learners will be able to practise Part 2 of the TOEIC exam and discover tips for this particular section. The lesson will include some discussion in pairs or groups around the topics.
